Open the Very Beachy website template Beach theme preview

This static website template was created to give me practice with creating websites based on mockups. During class one day, I brought some grid paper with me and started sketching out ideas for a website design. I then took this sketch and made the design in Inkscape to draw out the basic shape of the template. Then I took these parts and edited them in GIMP to add gradients and shadows to different interface elements. I then arranged the bitmaps I created in GIMP in HTML and CSS to make this template. If you look closely, you'll notice that many interface elements line up perfectly. This is because it is designed to constrain to a 40 pixel grid. I wanted this theme to look like and remind me of Summer, which is why I chose this color scheme. The “Very Beachy” logo was an afterthought. It was created not to fulfill any purpose but to gain some more practice. If you would like to use and modify this static template, you are free to do so as long as you link back to me.
