Inspiration from iWarp
This project started as a flat image with a grid, distorted using the iWarp plugin inside of GIMP. The effect made it almost look like it was moving, so I made it move through code. I created a mockup of what the final animation should look like in Blender (to the left) and the end result is better than I had planned.
A Very Familiar Interface
The interface was inspired by Windows 95. Many "aesthetic" images include throwbacks to the 90s, and this interface was that throwback.
Images like this one served as inspiration for the web app.
